It may not snow very often in Scottsdale, but that doesn’t mean we can’t bring the snow to us! Starting in mid-November, the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess transforms into a winter wonderland with its “Christmas at the Princess” event. Ice skate, go snow tubing, roast marshmallows, and make lasting memories with the whole family.

Winter In Scottsdale

What are some winter events in Scottsdale?
Just because most of Arizona doesn't get buried in snow like many of our Northern neighbors, doesn't mean we can't have a joyous winter holiday. Here are a few winter events in Scottsdale to get you holly and jolly for the holidays:

  • Parada del Sol Parade & Trail’s End Festival: Old Town Scottsdale gets pretty festive in early February for this annual parade and festival. The event is part of Old Town Scottsdale's Western Week where the history of the city is celebrated with light, color, and fun - and of course, delicious traditional food, in a massive city-wide block party.
  • Scottsdazzle: If you are looking for fun Christmas events in Scottsdale, look no further than Scottsdazzle. It is a month-long festival that starts in December. One of the highlights is the Santa Wine Around & Ale Trail. The tour features seven of Scottsdale's finest breweries too, so if you aren't a wine aficionado you can grab a burger at your favorite gastro pub and wash it down with a spectacular local craft beer. If you want to get really festive, dress in your finest holiday garb to score some pretty nice discounts.
  • Winter Wonderland: The North Pole residents visit Scottsdale in this Christmas event that has been warming hearts and bringing good cheer since 1987. Enjoy hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights, Christmas-themed displays, and a whole lot of Ho Ho Ho-ing. To top off the winter wonderland feel, bubble machines give the effect of a white Christmas in Arizona. Winter Wonderland is a free event, so you can enjoy some holiday fun without breaking the bank.
