With Stream Crossings And A Footbridge, The Little-Known Bearfoot Trail In Arizona Is Unexpectedly Magical
Entering a fairytale is as easy as embarking on the Bearfoot Trail in Arizona. This enchanting stroll through the Tonto National Forest features stream crossings, a footbridge, whimsical trees, and abundant wildlife. It’s one of the most magical hikes you’ll ever take!
While you shouldn't go hiking barefoot, you definitely should embark on the Bearfoot Trail in Arizona.
Some portions of the trail are a little on the steep side, and the total elevation gain is just under 1,300 feet. It's worth the effort, though, for all the magic you'll experience along the way - including an up-close view of wild elk grazing in the woods.
As you cross the bridge and listen to the gentle babble of the stream, you'll feel as though you've entered a fairytale. (Don't worry - there are no trolls to be found here!)
That means you can spend as long as you'd like reveling in the peace and quiet from atop the bridge. You'll be ready to tackle whatever life throws at you afterward!
Visit AllTrails for more information about the hike, including directions to the trailhead.
