The family-owned downtown Phoenix institution remains virtually unchanged after all these years - and locals wouldn't have it any other way. From the chalkboard menu to the no-frills, unfussy atmosphere, Mrs. White's need only rely on its world-class cooking to draw in customers.
You can get your fried chicken plain or smothered, or opt for chicken-fried steak if red meat is more your style. Either way, get ready for your taste buds to ascend straight to heaven with each crisp-tender, succulent bite.
Other entrees include oxtail, pork chops, and rotating specials. Meals come with two sides, with options ranging from black-eyed peas to macaroni salad and everything in between.
