The Grand Canyon State may be an outdoor paradise for hikers but it’s also an outdoor playground for mountain bikers. And there are plenty of trails around the state where you can do both! One such trail runs through the town of Black Canyon City and it provides the perfect terrain for outdoor adventure in Arizona

Head to Yavapai County in the central part of Arizona and you'll find a variable landscape of mountains, desert, and rugged terrain like most parts of the state. It's an attractive area to those who love the outdoors due to all the wilderness to explore.

And one of the best ways to explore this area is via the Black Canyon Trail which runs right through Black Canyon City, a census-designated area with a population of approximately 2,300 people.

Black Canyon Trail is 80 miles long and, while you can certainly hike along it, it's mostly used by mountain bikers.

After you trek or bike along the Black Canyon Trail, head to Chileen's on 17. Featured on an episode of the hit reality TV show Bar Rescue back in 2013, Chlieen's has become a popular spot for road trippers and those exploring the area.
