There’s A Small Town In Arizona Known For Its Truly Epic Burgers
Small towns often have some of the best food, and that sentiment definitely rings true in Jerome. The “wickedest town in the West” is home to two renowned burger joints, making it a perfect foodie destination.

Nestled in the heart of historic downtown, The Bordello of Jerome is an eclectic space known for its Mediterranean food and burgers, both of which are among the best in the city.
You'll find the restaurant at 412 Main Street.
While The Bordello's amazing food is the main attraction, its unique atmosphere helps turn first-timers into regulars.
The decor style is edgy and macabre, offering just as much of a feast for the eyes.
Eight different burgers, ranging from veggie to wild boar, ensure no palate goes unpleased.
Unique flavor combinations like brie + green apple slices, bleu cheese + sauteed mushrooms, and avocado + chipotle mayo promise to tantalize your taste buds.
Almost as eccentric as the ingredients themselves are the names of the burgers.
Just across the street, Haunted Hamburger is another iconic Jerome burger joint.
The jury is still out on whether or not it's actually haunted, but one thing's for sure: the food is scary good.
Skeletons climb the walls outside, but the interior has the dated elegance of an old hotel.
Extravagant chandeliers hang from the ceiling, while antique mirrors, rich wooden furnishings, and historic photos harken back to a bygone era.
The menu has nine burgers from which to choose, the "Haunted Burger" being the most famous of them all.
This behemoth is piled high with bacon, cheddar and swiss cheeses, mushrooms, green chilies, grilled onions, and guacamole. Make it a double for an extra $2!
Other options include classic cheese or bacon cheese, BBQ, southwest, and a couple of other delicious mouthfuls.
For an extra fee, you can add green chiles, grilled onions, a fried egg, guacamole, or bacon. All burgers are served on a house-baked bun with your choice of fries, a twice baked potato, spring greens, or jalapeno coleslaw. Gluten-free buns, as well as turkey and garden burgers, are available upon request.
Make sure to save room for dessert! The huge slices of cake are absolutely to-die-for.
The Haunted Hamburger is open from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. daily. Hours at the Bordello are 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday-Wednesday, and 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday-Saturday.
