The One Place In Arizona Where You Can Have An Up Close Encounter With A Sloth
Sloths are one of the slowest animals on Earth, yet the world has really taken a liking to them in recent years, especially with the spread of countless sloth-themed memes on the Internet. If you love these weirdly wonderful creatures or are looking for a unique way to interact with some interesting wildlife, now’s your chance! For a limited time, visitors to OdySea Aquarium can get up-close-and-personal with one of these adorable, sleepy creatures.
Before meeting Squidney, visitors sit through a classroom session and learn all there is to know about the world's slowest creatures, as well as ways you can personally aid in protection and preservation efforts.
After the teaching session, it's time for the main event! Squidney is OdySea Aquarium's resident sloth. She's quirky, hilarious, and absolutely adores meeting new people.
The Sloth Encounter at OdySea costs $59.95 per person and is only available through the end of March. Click here to purchase tickets.
That face might look sweet and innocent, but Squidney is notoriously playful. Visitors are asked not to wear dangling jewelry because she just might snatch it right off!
Please allow approximately 40 minutes for your encounter with Squidney. That's a long time for sloths to stay awake, so don't be surprised if she starts nodding off before it's over!
OdySea Aquarium is located at 9500 E Via De Ventura, Suite A-100, Scottsdale, AZ 85256. For more information, visit the OdySea website or Facebook page.
Have you met Squidney the Sloth? What’s your favorite animal encounter in Arizona? Personally, we’re huge fans of this camel farm.
