Cathedral Rock is perhaps the most photographed site in Arizona, and you can swim at its base when you hike to Buddha Beach at Crescent Moon Ranch. Located within the Coconino National Forest near Red Rock State Park, this hidden oasis is one of the best swimming holes in Arizona. Although the beach attracts decent crowds on summer weekends, it’s significantly lesser-known than more popular nearby swimming spots like Slide Rock and Grasshopper Point. The hike to the beach is under a mile long and pretty low-key, and the ranch opens up to plenty of other hiking trails if you want more adventure.
