Nestled In Rim Country, Woods Canyon Lake Has Some Of The Clearest Water In Arizona
If you’re growing tired of the same old summer vacation spots, consider planning a trip to Woods Canyon Lake. This little-known reservoir is just about 30 minutes from Payson and it boasts some of the clearest water in Arizona.

This makes it an extremely popular fishing spot, with several different species inhabiting the waters.

It's a loop that parallels the water, shaded by pine trees and offering gorgeous panoramic views that stretch far into the distance.

Kids and pets are welcome on the trail, as it's relatively flat the whole way.

Canoes, paddle boards, electric trolling motor boats, and peddle boats are also available, and rates vary depending on which craft you choose.

It boasts one of the largest ice cream selections in Northern Arizona!

I mean, c'mon -- you'll be hard-pressed to find a scene this tranquil anywhere else in the area!
