Plan Your Visit To This Amazing Tropical Parrot Sanctuary In Arizona As Soon As You Can
If you’re in search of a unique activity the whole family can enjoy, look no further. The Oasis Sanctuary in Arizona provides visitors with the rare opportunity to meet hundreds of rescued exotic birds. Keep reading for a sneak peek of the creatures that reside here and some captivating information about the refuge.
Situated on 71 acres of land near Benson, The Oasis Sanctuary provides a safe space for birds to frolic in an open-air environment.
This 1,300-square-foot building allows animals with special needs to receive ample human interaction and intensive care.
Outdoor aviaries are connected by enclosed walkways (or, should we say flyways) for the feathered residents to move freely and explore.
There are separate spaces for different species that may not interact well with each other.
Dozens of species of parrots, cockatoos, macaws, and other exotic birds reside at The Oasis.
Rather than being held here temporarily pending adoption, all of the birds are guaranteed a home for life.
Many of the sanctuary's residents have endured substantial trauma, whether it be physical, emotional, or both.
Individualized treatment plans use diet, exercise, socialization, and medical care to restore the health of each beautiful creature.
Volunteers and visitors are always welcome!
The Oasis puts on special events and fundraisers throughout the year, but if you're looking to make an individual visit, please call 520-212-4737 to schedule an appointment ahead of time.
Meet the birds, explore the grounds, and maybe even feed a few hungry beaks depending on what kind of mood they're in!
You'll find The Oasis at 5411 N Teran Rd., Benson, AZ 85602.
