There are so many beautiful places in Arizona it can be difficult to pick just one to visit. Whether you are a local looking for something different to shake up your weekend, or a tourist checking off the top sites, Mount Lemmon should definitely be on your list of places to see. This scenic spot is perfect of nature lovers everywhere. Head out near Tucson, Arizona for an adventure of hiking, rock climbing, skiing, biking and more.

At 9,159 feet, Mount Lemmon is the highest point in the Santa Catalina Range. This beautiful spot is just over an hour north of Tucson in the Coronado National Forest.

Drive through Catalina Highway, known as "Mt. Lemmon Highway" for 27 miles of awe. As you drive up, you'll see something new at every turn from trees, shrubs and wildflowers to natural rock sculptures.

For your convenience, there are turnouts at scenic overlooks and several campgrounds and picnic areas.

There are 32 different hiking trails to choose from with varying levels of difficulty.

This beautiful six-acre lake is great for trout fishing. The Rose Canyon Campground is nearby as well for those who want to stay a little longer.

While Ski Valley is open all year long, Mount Lemmon typically gets snowfall November to April with a peak in January.
