Paddling Through The Hidden Labyrinth Canyon Is A Magical Arizona Adventure That Will Light Up Your Soul
If you’re looking for a new place to go kayaking in Arizona, might we suggest Labyrinth Canyon? This hidden gem is only accessible via watercraft, which is why few have heard of it. Get ready for an adventure that will light up your soul.
There are a seemingly endless number of places to go kayaking in Arizona - especially in the Lake Powell area. Labyrinth Canyon, however, is among the least-known of them all.
The mouth of the canyon is located in Utah, while the remainder is located in Arizona. It’s about a mile long, up to 30 feet deep in spots, and features a series of twists and turns that liken it to a maze.
You’ll swear you’re in Antelope Canyon when you see the deep red, undulating sandstone walls - the key difference is that Labyrinth Canyon doesn’t require an access fee and is virtually empty of people most of the time.
When you book a tour with Paddleboard Lake Powell, you get to embark on a 3-in-1 adventure. Not only will you paddle to Labyrinth Canyon, but also enjoy a scenic boat ride into Navajo Canyon as well as a hike.
The tour takes around seven hours in total and is only offered in March, April, May, September, and October. You’ll only have to hike around two miles total, and lunch is provided to all participants. Ample time for swimming and taking photos is allowed.
