The dog days of summer are upon us and we’ve got a solution for the summer doldrums that arise from the heat. Don’t let another summer pass you by without a trip to this amazing Arizona water park that features a lazy river that winds all through the park attractions.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
At Waylon's Water World in Yuma, you can while away the day without a care in the world on the neverending lazy river.
Except for the kiddie pool, which is steps outside the ring of the lazy river, all of the attractions for this water park are found inside the lazy river's meandering path.
Dab on some sunscreen, and hop in for a journey that feels far from the action, but in reality, is only several feet away.
It is an ideal scenario if you have kids in your party. Of course the water park has life guards, but you'll still be able to keep a watchful eye on the older ones as they explore all of the adventurous attractions, like slides and chutes.
If you have little kiddos, this is a perfect way to get them to slow down so that you all can take break from the ongoing fun of exploring Waylon's Water World.
Other water park features include a kids play area called Syd's Zone, multiple water slides and chutes, and a huge bowl where you'll go around and around until you slip into a hole that drops you into another water slide.
