You’ll Want To Visit This One Gorgeous Arizona Lake That’s As Blue As The Sky
Nothing adds more fun to a beautiful day than spending it beside (or on) a gorgeous lake. Arizona has plenty of these! But one of them is nearly always as blue as the sky – or even MORE blue – and you’re going to love it. Take a peek:
Lake Mohave is a hidden little (at 28,000+ acres it's not that little) paradise along the Arizona/Nevada Border.
Technically, it's actually a reservoir located between the Hoover and Davis Dams. In between, there's a stretch of the Colorado River that gets swallowed into Lake Mohave, which is 67 miles in length.
At the lake's widest point it's only four miles, and the northernmost portions are known to look more like a river than a lake. Multiple access points are located on both the Nevada and the Arizona sides of Lake Mohave, making it an outdoor lover's dream.
Whether you're out on the water in your own motorized vessel or a mussel-powered version, getting on top of this blue paradise is the perfect way to kick back and relax.
Both sides of the lake provide a few designated resorts and campgrounds where you can take the kids and enjoy the water. Bring a chair, a cooler, some sunscreen and a lunch because you're going to be here a while.
Willow Beach Marina and Campground is a favorite on the Arizona side. Located in Willow Beach and near Fort Mohave, the attraction offers boat rentals, and kayak and canoe rentals. There's also a camp store — and an RV park and campground so you can stay overnight.
In search of the bluest water in Arizona? Lake Mohave is as blue as the sky and offers plenty to do in, on, and off the water. Discover more about Willow Beach on the official website of the Willow Beach Marina and Campground.
