What are some awesome hiking trails with waterfalls in Arizona?

Arizona may be home to lots of desert and desert flora/fauna, like cacti and cliffs and all sorts of wonderful things, but it’s also home to plenty of amazing waterfalls, most of which are accessible to the public, even if it takes a bit of a hike. Some of our favorite hiking trails with waterfalls in Arizona (some of which are seasonal falls and/or rain-dependent) include the amazing Hieroglyphic Trail in the Superstition Wilderness. This amazing trail is moderately difficult and is 2.8 miles long; it’s got amazing wildflowers on top of the seasonal waterfall that’s best viewed following a good rain. There’s also the Bear Canyon to Seven Falls Trail, which you’ll find nestled in the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area and is rated as moderated. That one’s longer, at 8.3 miles, and it’s also great for birdwatching. You’ll also love Water Wheel Falls, within the Tonto National Forest, and Fossil Creek Falls is unreal in its beauty. Need something super easy to kill an afternoon? Check out these awesome waterfalls in Arizona that don’t require a hike at all.

What are some good, easy hiking trails in Arizona?

With more than 3,000 trails to choose from, Arizona is a hiker’s paradise. At least one-third of those trails are easy, and all of them are great! Some of our favorite easy hiking trails in Arizona include gems like the beautiful Fay Canyon Trail, located within the Coconino National Forest. It’s 2.3 miles long but easy enough that folks of most skill levels can conquer it. Then, try the 1.9-mile Sugarloaf Loop Trail, which is nestled in Coconino National Forest and features even MORE awesome Sedona views. Prefer to stay near Phoenix? Try the 0.3-mile Hole in the Rock Trail at Papago Park for some awesome views of the Valley and a good workout!
