Halloween and scary movies go hand-in-hand. While we love to plop down on the couch and take advantage of streaming services, sometimes it’s fun to venture out and have a new experience. At Glendale’s West Wind Drive-In, you can do just that. The theatre is showing horror double features for two weeks straight this month, promising to fill your October with thrills and chills.
This month, West Wind Drive-In is putting an old-school spin on the timeless October activity of watching horror films.
Pile the whole family into the car for a spooktacular cinematic celebration of things that go bump in the night. You'll find the theatre on 55th Avenue in Glendale.
13 Nights of Fright kicks off on October 19 and runs through Halloween. Each evening includes a premiere, as well as double-features of both family-friendly and truly horrifying films.
From Hocus Pocus to Halloween and a variety of other movies, both modern and classic, there's something for everyone.

With pillows and blankets in tow, pop the trunk and set up a cozy fort. From the safety and comfort of your vehicle, you'll feel protected from whatever may be lurking in the darkness beyond.

Not only do they add an extra element of enjoyment to the festivities, but also serve as mementos to remember your experience by. Only cash is accepted at the wagon, which will be moving around throughout the show. The snack bar will offer glow items, as well, and you can pay with a card there.
No movie night would be complete without snacks -- and let's face it, having something to munch on can definitely help calm your nerves.
Online ticket purchase is coming soon to minimize person-to-person contact. For now, you'll pay at the box office before being shown where to park... if you're still brave enough to sit through the film, that is.
There's a full moon on Halloween night, sure to cast an eerie glow over the drive-in. We can't imagine a better atmosphere for watching scary movies.
General admission is $8, and children ages 5-11 get in for $2. Four and under are always free. On Tuesday, it's Family Fun Night, and adult tickets are discounted to $5.50.
