The Beautiful Arizona Library That Looks Like Something From A Book Lover’s Dream
If you’re a book lover, then you understand the almost palpable feeling of enchantment that arises when you enter a library whose architecture is as artful as the novels that reside within it. One of the most beautiful libraries in Arizona is the Arabian Library in Scottsdale, designed to look like the majestic slot canyons our state is known for. As soon as you lay eyes on the building, you’ll feel an unmistakable pull to go inside and discover all it has to offer.
With its sleek, modern exterior, Scottsdale's Arabian Library is heaven for book lovers and architecture buffs alike.
The nearly 21,000-square-foot library opened its doors in 2007, and it attracts many thousands of visitors each year.
The interior design is inspired by Arizona's numerous slot canyons, whose dramatic sandstone walls create narrow passageways illuminated by sunbeams from above.
Large glass windows invite a sense of openness and freedom, and there is plenty of comfortable seating - both indoors and out - where guests can curl up and dive into a good book, escaping the confines of reality for a while.
The library also has drive-up window service, although we highly recommend checking it out in person at least once. It's often called the most beautiful library in Arizona, and for good reason!
Have you ever been to the Arabian Library? If so, we’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below! Don’t forget to check out our previous article for more buildings in Arizona that are true works of art.
