There are many fun things to do in the Grand Canyon State, some that are timeless but are also pretty standard. If you’re looking to shake things up and try something unique and new, there are some great options in Arizona. You can hike through many astounding places, but how many other trails do you know of that lead to an abandoned mansion? The Gold King Mansion can be explored on a trail in the Hualapai Mountains. There is even the option to change up your dining experience with an underground restaurant in the Grand Canyon Caverns. Called The Grotto, it’s over 20 stories underneath the surface and will give you quite a memorable meal.

What unique tours in Arizona can I take?

If you love the idea of touring the state with train rides in Arizona, you might also love some of these other tours. You can experience some of the state’s caves with a tour through the living Kartchner Caverns. There are 2.5 miles of tunnels to explore throughout it. For a spookier experience, take a ghost tour through the haunted town of Jerome. And to experience some of AZ’s iconic natural wonders, try a tour through Antelope Canyon. The view of the strikingly red, smoothly carved rock surface is one you’ll never forget, but it can only be seen with a guide.

Experience wine tasting in Arizona by visiting some of the state’s lovely wineries and vineyards. The Charron Vineyards near Vail, about 30 minutes from Tuscon, is a great option. With lovely mountain views and plenty of delicious wine, it’s a great way to spend the afternoon. You can taste wine with some fluffy friends at the Bruzzi Vineyard, located in Gila County, with their two llamas that can be pet, fed, and have pictures taken with all while you enjoy the scenery and the delicious wines they produce. The Coronado Vineyards are another stellar option, located in Wilcox and known for their award-winning wines.
