Here Are 10 Things Everyone In Arizona Absolutely Loves
With a new year coming up, now is a good time to reflect on our lives and everything that encompasses it. I think it is also the perfect opportunity to think about the people and things we love, especially when it comes to Arizona. Here are a few things we just cannot get enough of.
Even in the grimy center of Phoenix, we can still see nature peeking at from behind the freeway walls and stop signs. When I walk my dog at sunset, South Mountain stands a strong purple against a pink/orange/blue sky and I'm easily reminded of the nature that surrounds me.
When I travel, there are few things I miss more than how visually open Arizona is.
The fact that we can enjoy nearly all of it year-round? Even better.
Find me one person who doesn't admit to a beautiful sky when the sun sits at the horizon.
I remember them being more intense when I was younger but there's nothing quite like the build up of the wet season.
We don't get as much as other places, but it sure makes Arizona look amazing when it does snow.
Except for the extreme triple-digit temperatures in certain areas of the state, Arizona's weather is absolutely perfect. And even with those crazy temperatures, we can always retreat to cooler temps either indoors or in the northern parts of the state.
Since Arizona is traditionally a blend of Indigenous, Mexican, and American cultures, you're bound to come across some foods you love. But, hey, some of the newer foods showing up are pretty good, too.
We have a lot of small towns (and some REALLY small towns), which are great for mini retreats or as places to live.
With all that sunshine and extra hour of sleep every fall and winter, I think we're much better off than the rest of the country.
