Decay draws people in. There seems to be something enticing about being witness to something that nature reclaims, no matter how slow, and imagining the life that once inhabited it. On the flip side, however, there’s also the potential danger of the building collapsing mid-exploration or even a spooky encounter. That’s probably why people are so intrigued and driven to visit abandoned buildings at the risk of a trespassing charge.
