9 Main Streets In Arizona That Are Pure Magic During Christmastime
Aside from the parties, food, and spending time with loved ones, one of my favorite parts of the holidays is seeing all the decorations spread around town. Boughs, ribbon, twinkling lights, and a host of other decorations make our towns and cities look so festive during this chilly weather! Here are a few main street and downtown displays that really elevate the holiday charm this time of year.

Bisbee is already a charming town, so add some colorful string lights and chilly weather to the old buildings and you have one beautiful street! If the town happens to get snow, like it did earlier this year, it looks even more amazing!

I recently spent a couple restful days in Clarkdale and it’s one pretty little town! There’s nothing the quite says you’re home for the holidays like trees wrapped in colorful lights along the main streets.

When you attend the daily Glendale Glitters event held downtown, you can witness the area come to life with music, activities, live entertainment, and millions of lights.

Mesa’s downtown center has changed quite a bit since my early 1980s memories, but if there’s anything that gets better with time, it’s the holiday decorations. You’ll find Main Street all decked out and even some cool entertainment.

What happens when you combine the city of Scottsdale with some beautiful holiday decorations and a month-long celebration? You get Scottsdazzle which sees downtown Scottsdale absolutely shine with incredible decorations, live entertainment, and events for all ages.

You’ll find Sedona’s lovely streets decorated and a towering Christmas tree standing tall over at Canyon Breeze Plaza. You can also check out a ton of other events happening around the city, like Tinsel Town at Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village.

Tempe is definitely far from being a small town these days but if you want a hint of that small town charm without leaving Phoenix, check out Mill Avenue during the holidays. You’ll find hundreds of lights adorning the tree-lined streets, live music, and plenty of happy faces.

For an understated dedication to holiday cheer, you should check out Tombstone’s Allen Street. The town does an excellent job reminding you of the season while staying true to its Old West roots.

Route 66, which goes right through Williams, gets all decked out this time of year with twinkling string lights that shine against the neon signs and green boughs.
