I know there’s no place in the world I would rather be than my home state and I bet you, dear reader, probably agree. Let’s take a look at 12 places that show Arizona is unparalleled in beauty and splendor.

We’re starting this list with one of Arizona’s most surreal landscapes, Antelope Canyon located in northern Arizona near Page. The slot canyon is known for its smooth, wavy walls that tower overhead as well as some stunning lighting that is best captured in long exposure photography.
Another northern Arizona canyon on our list, this one has quite a bit of historical and cultural significance in addition to beautiful views. If you can, try arranging for a hike into the canyon, whether it’s on the public White House Trail or with a Navajo guide into more remote parts of the canyon.

This little oasis has seen its up and downs over the last few years but it’s back to its beautiful self these days with more limited attendance. During the summer months, it’s the perfect spot to escape to from the heat with hiking and swimming. In the fall, it’s even quieter and great for escaping the madding crowd.
