19 Times Snow Transformed Arizona Into The Most Beautiful Scenery

I don’t know about you, but when parts of the state received a taste of snow last month, I couldn’t wait for more snow to arrive. Since El Niño is supposed to bring extra snow this winter (fingers crossed!), let’s take a look at some of the beautiful, snow-covered sights we can expect to see this year.

1. Here's a good start to this list: the San Francisco Peaks last month!

2. Here's a look at the Peaks seen from Sunset Crater a few years ago. Still a beautiful sight.

3. In the Kendrick Park area, this two little structures sit alone in the snow.

4. I'm not sure where this is but it is certainly beautiful. Hopefully we can see this amount of snow this year.

5. Or what about this? I don't think too many of us get to see Oak Creek when it's covered in snow.

6. The Grand Canyon looks beautiful throughout the year but it looks even more stunning when covered in snow.

7. You could hike it as well but I would suggest ensuring you have some winter hiking experience under your belt before you attempt it.

8. Sedona looks pretty with a coat of snow covering the red rocks.

10. This spot looks almost unrecognizable if it weren't for that chunk of petrified wood in the foreground.

11. This looks like it could be Monument Valley but it is actually a couple of buttes on the Navajo Nation near Round Rock and Lukachukai.

12. A favorite spot to see snow each year? Along the rim, of course!

13. We also often get to see snow in places most people would least expect, such as Tucson.

14. This is definitely a rare, but lovely, sight.

15. Here's a look at snow-covered mountains near Roosevelt Lake.

16. Seeing snow on the Superstitions is an amazing sight, too!

17. Even the Phoenix area gets graced with snow every once in awhile. This scene of the McDowell Mountains almost don't look like Scottsdale.

19. Enjoy the snow this year, just try not to get buried in it!
