Wildlife Parks In Arizona

What are some other wildlife parks in Arizona?

Other wildlife parks in Arizona include the following:

  • Out of Africa Wildlife Park in Camp Verde is home to numerous exotic animals. This was another fun place my family and I visited. We went on a safari and were able to feed a giraffe from the open-air tram along the way.
  • Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park in Litchfield is a small, underrated zoo. My son was young when we came here but I remember we had a blast feeding the giraffes here as well.
  • Keepers of the Wild Nature Park in Valentine offers safari tours and is home to a variety of rescued exotic animals
  • Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary in Prescott is a 10-acre park by Willow Lake. Each animal that lives here has been rescued.

What are some of the animals that are native to Arizona?

Among the animals that are native to Arizona are the following:

  • Coyotes are abundant here. I’ve even seen them out and about in the city.
  • Javelina. These animals look like pigs or wild boars but are actually collared peccary.
  • Rattlesnakes. Abundant in the desert, they can sometimes be found in yards.
  • Wild horses can be found around the Lower Salt River Valley as well as the Tonto National Forest. They are absolutely beautiful!
  • Desert cottontail rabbit. These are also abundant. I always see them in my yard.
  • Black bears which you can see at Bearizona!
