21 Things Everyone Who’s Moved Away From Alaska Has Thought At Least Once

As the old saying goes, “you can take the person out of Alaska but you can’t take Alaska out of the person.” Anyone who has ever lived in the Last Frontier knows just how accurate that saying truly is. Albeit wild and extreme, there are so many special things that come along with braving the storm in the far north. It’s impossible to deny that anyone who has ever moved away from Alaska has thought about these things at least once.

1. No matter how you look at it, those mountains will never compare with Alaska’s…

2. I officially take back everything I’ve ever said about hating Anchorage’s traffic.

3. I can’t believe how warm it is (everywhere else) compared to Alaska.

4. You mean, the sun actually sets in the summertime? That’s weird.

6. I miss the seclusion that was so easy to find in Alaska.

16. Almost as much as I miss those apple fritters from The Moose Is Loose.

17. And those sweet rolls from The Bake Shop.

18. Two words: King Crab.

19. Three words: Wild Alaska Salmon.

20. Date nights don’t have anything on what Alaska has to offer.
