As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
If you like the places you stay in to have a little history, the Skagway Inn is the perfect spot to learn more about the Gold Rush era and stay in a beautiful place filled with antiques. The building is old, built in the 1800s, and a beautiful reminder of the gorgeous history of the Skagway, Alaska area!

The inn was built in 1897 and was a family home when it first opened. It then catered to all the miners coming in during the Klondike Gold Rush era, donning many hats, including both boarding house and brothel.

In fact, the decor throughout the entire place still reflects the turn of the century style. Whether you're in the common areas or your very own "powder room," each aspect of the inn stays true to the historic style.

Many of them have their own bathroom, although a couple do share a bathroom and showers. There are sumptuous robes provided in the rooms that have to share a bathroom.

Even though the rooms and bathrooms have antiquities in them, they are all modernized for your comfort! The linens, beds, and pillows in each room are top notch, the sheets a luxurious 450-thread count, ensuring a relaxing stay.

Expect a hearty meal filled with eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes, muffins, cereal, yogurt,
toast, fruit, milk, juice, herbal teas, and Alaska's very own Raven's Brew Coffee. There's plenty for you to enjoy to start your day right.

Olivia's serves the best seafood Alaska has to offer, with Halibut, King Crab, and Salmon on the menu for you to order. They also use fresh produce from the garden right at the inn.

In the warmer months, take a stroll in their beautiful gardens on the property. Or explore downtown and the nearby boat harbor, or hike a trail to see one of the gorgeous waterfalls nearby.
