What is the most scenic town in Alaska?
With so many small towns dotted around our giant state, many places bring a lot of beauty to the table. Towns in different climates, and with different geography, offer many wonderful things. If you love the ocean, the scenery from Homer can be absolutely breathtaking. Descending into town and glimpsing the glaciers across the bay from this beautiful seaside spot is awe-inspiring. If you love the mountains, tiny Girdwood lodges itself in the valley beneath the Chugach mountain range. Wherever you go in town you’re greeted by majestic mountains towering over you. If you love endless acres of rolling tundra, or beautiful sunsets over the ocean, Nome, Alaska may be designated as the most scenic town in our state. The truth is, there are far more scenic towns that not, and we are so lucky to live in such a wondrous state.
