Oh, Alaska – you big, beautiful, burly beast of a state. With your never ending challenges and your epic extremes. It’s almost as if Mother Nature can’t make up her mind and Father Time is putting us all through a never ending test of turbulence. But then again, we wouldn’t live here if we didn’t have such a delightful and devious obsession with the craziness that the Alaska life throws our way. You see, the struggles make us stronger and the breathtaking beautiful that surrounds us makes it all worth the while. But adjusting to life in the last frontier doesn’t come easy. See for yourself…

1. Way too much darkness.

2. But then again, way too much sunlight.

3. Can’t. Get. Warm. EVER!

4. If you forget to plug in your car during the wintertime, you’ll be frozen in time.

5. The fish in Alaska are so big, you’re guaranteed to break a rod at least once a season.

6. With such an abundance of wild fish and game, you’ll never want to stop eating.
