This Rodeo Extravaganza Will Take Your Love Of Alaska To A Whole New Level

Alaska is the largest state in the United States, with plenty of land for big and beautiful farms. With such a strong agricultural community, Alaskans have embraced rodeos, and also currently host the northernmost rodeo in America! Rodeo Alaska puts together great shows all season long so you can get your fix!
The rodeos are a highly anticipated event each summer, with limited events around the state.
With only six shows a season, including the finals at the Sullivan Arena in Anchorage, this is a must-see on your summer bucket list! The shows are fun and family friendly, people rave about how entertaining they are.
The northernmost rodeo in America is held in Fairbanks, at the Tanana Valley Fairgrounds.
This event is a lot of fun, and you can catch the Junior Rodeo on July 19th, and the Rodeo on July 20th and 21st. Don’t forget to take a stroll around the rest of the fair, as there’s lots to do!

The championships are held this year in Eagle River during the Bear Paw Festival.
The Bear Paw Festival is held the second week in July, from the 10th through the 14th. The Junior Rodeo performance will be on held on July 12th, and the Rodeo performances can be seen on July 13th and 14th.
You can catch the Rodeo performances on the weekend of August 24th and the 25th. Make sure to get there early so you can stock up on all the excellent fair food you can!
There’s even a junior rodeo association here in Alaska.
These are talented 15 years and younger riders who do everything from barrel racing to dummy roping. The most breathtaking to watch are the 9-12 years who steer ride!
