Cowboy Mark Marette has been offering rides on the Homer Spit since 1986, allowing Alaskans and visitors alike to experience the wonder of this Bay from the back of a horse.
Trail rides meet at 8:15 AM at the ranch, a 20 minutes drive outside of Homer. Riders must wear sturdy shoes and be prepared for breezy, rainy weather.
The four hour tours happen daily as long as the minimum two people sign up. Everyone gets specific instruction on riding and gears up in the morning.

As you head through the Alaskan countryside, you are bound to see some of the wildlife of the area: moose, bears, lynx, coyotes, migrating birds, hawks and eagles.
