If you want to get out and enjoy a stunning hike to a beautiful waterfall, you need to try this fairy tale hike in Alaska. Located in Ketchikan, this is the perfect easy hike for the whole family, and a wonderful way to spend the morning.

Located at Settlers Cove State Recreation Site, there’s a cute little trail that takes you through the forest.

The trail starts out as a wide, gravel path. After a short distance, it narrows when it heads into the forest.
Before long, the path becomes a hike on boardwalks through the stunning Tongass National Forest.

As you hike along, you’ll reach a split in the trail.

The loop trail is only .8 miles long, and you'll climb 88 feet total in elevation gain. It’s an easy path to enjoy, especially as you climb beneath western red cedar, Sitka spruce, and western hemlock. It’s a fabulous short hike that shows off some of the best that Ketchikan has to offer.
Besides stunning views of the water from beaches, you’ll also get a first hand view of Lunch Creek Falls.
