Oh, tourists – how we love em’ so! They are wide-eyed, bushy-tailed and full of jaw-dropping questions that have us second guessing whether or not they are smarter than a 4th grader. Although we speculate that many tourists leave their logic at home and forget to pack their common sense, if it wasn’t for all those crazy questions we wouldn’t have something highly entertaining to talk about around the campfire. Check out the 20 most ridiculous things people ask about Alaska (and get ready to laugh out loud).
Alaskan exchange rate: you give me $100, I give you $20. Yeah, were really hoping the American dollar becomes more valuable someday too. Never quit holding out hope! It’s silly how many people don’t realize that Alaska is a part of the United States.

If you must ask, a glacier cleaning specialist comes out weekly and gives it a good scrub-a-dub. C'mon people! This is one that most people should know, it shouldn’t come as a surprise.
Unless you want us to tell you "11pm" when you ask the question at 2pm in the afternoon, just don't ask. It's wildlife people. Get a clue! No one can predict when the wildlife come out!

Oh it doesn't look so bad. But go take just one step and you'll probably need us to wipe up your tears after you pee your pants from being so scared. The best thing we can compare it to is quicksand, except the tide comes up, and you’re stuck. This is not a fun situation to be in.
Oh yeah, super annoyed. Mad eye rolls and everything. Those barrels are pretty loud, and obviously their weird shape makes tons of noise.
