Spend The Night In An Airbnb That’s Inside An Actual Dome Right Here In Alaska
Alaska is definitely known for some crazy accommodations, and this dome in Alaska is no exception! This dome in Seward lets the outside world in while staying high and dry. This little spot is a cozy escape when you’re on the Kenai Peninsula and want a stay closer to nature.

This geometric dome is an off-grid geodesic dome made by Pacific Domes of Oregon. It’s built off the ground, making you feel like you’re in the trees.

You’ll be surrounded by old-growth forest and you’ll have to hike down a trail to reach the dome. There’s only solar power available to power your stay.

There’s a small trail to a private outhouse that’s available for your use. The heat source for your accommodations is a small wood stove, and you can find bundles of wood for sale at Safeway.

The oven is non-functional, but the three stovetop burners work! The dome is dry, which means there’s no running water, but there are seven gallon jugs filled with water retrieved from a local spring.

Since you’re nestled into the woods, it’s a private area with treetop views. Peer out the windows for a look at the local wildlife and enjoy the quiet you’ll find around the area.

There’s also a cozy couch and the loft holds the bed. If you’re looking for a rustic getaway that will have you feeling close to nature, this is the spot!
