Everyone loves a good light display during the holidays and seeing as Alaska has these long winter nights, it’s the best place to get some viewing in. From drive through displays with radio stations you can tune to for music while you tour, to whole streets being lit up for their community’s enjoyment, Alaska makes one great place to go Christmas light cruising. Check out some of these dazzling displays from around the state that will be sure to impress and entertain you.

Visit the North Pole to enjoy lighted ice sculptures and holiday cheer!

Another great Christmas display with entertainment on the side is the slippery, carved-ice slides. The display opens Nov. 30, 2014, through Jan. 5, 2015. Don't miss it!

Keep this one for future reference - unfortunately, the house on Rex Lane was sold, so the new location will be at mile marker 23 on Chena Hot Springs Road starting next year. Don't miss it!

Take a drive to the Alaska Zoo Lights if you live in Anchorage. They always put on a decent show and kids love it.

Visit The Santa House in North Pole. The owner of the home says his goal is to increase the electricity bill by at least a little more every year.

A woman wishing to spread the cheer of the holidays has put on a wonderful light show the fast few years in Wasilla. Right across from Sears, you cant miss it.

Christmas decorations fill their yard and will light up your holiday - I promise. John Klimpke swears he uses miles of extension cords.

Let's face it, the square in downtown Anchorage is always a delight to walk through this time of year. It's all lit up and often there are ice sculptures, like a big ice chair you can sit in for a picture.

Even Alaskan Bush pilots are getting into the holiday spirit. Check out these decorated planes on Bush Flight Alaska's Facebook page.
