A Drone Flew High Above A Mostly Uninhabited Island In Alaska And Caught The Most Incredible Footage
So much of our beautiful state is unexplored. At a size three times larger than the next biggest state (think about that!), Alaska is filled with stunning places that can really only be captured from the air. This Adak Island drone footage of Alaska explores a remote, sparsely populated island that is rarely visited, but stunningly beautiful.

Thanks to Cale Green and his explorations, we have a hauntingly beautiful capture of the charm of this remote island. Taken over the span of a few days, including a rare bright and sunny day on the island, this video offers the chance to explore spots of the island that are nearly impossible for a human to travel to. Watch as he sends his drone into the nooks and crannies of the coast, and high above the island for some unbelievable aerial views.

What are the most beautiful lakes in Alaska?
We’re lucky to have beautiful, otherworldly scenery up here, and our alpine, coastal, and glacial lakes are no exception. Some of the most stunning lakes in Alaska include the legendary Crater Lake atop Mount Katmai, Kenai Lake, and Kashwitna Lake – where you can enjoy amazing fishing opportunities. Summit Lake and Lake Clark are two of the best lakes in Alaska if you’re looking to have access to amenities and well-maintained hiking trails, as they’re both in beautiful state parks.
Which hikes in Alaska are short and sweet?
While many of our most popular hikes are long and arduous journeys, novice hikers shouldn’t think that Alaska is too challenge for them to explore! Some hikes are short and simple, with just enough of a challenge to really get your blood pumping. For beginner-friendly hikes in Alaska, we recommend the five-mile, out-and-back trail along Portage Pass, a hike to Rainbow Falls in Wrangell that’s less than two miles total, and the remote and peaceful Kenai Peninsula Hike at Hidden Creek. It’s just a three-mile loop, but it’s one of the best hikes you’ll ever get to take, and it’s sure to leave a lasting impression.
Does Alaska have any natural wonders?
Our National Parks showcase some of the most remarkable natural wonders in the county. Visit Kenai Fjords National Park to see a gorgeous view of the Pedersen Glacier. In Glacier Bay National Park, you’ll find stunning sights that are sure to take your breath away, no matter which season you visit. Our mountains and volcanoes are wonders, too. Pavlof, Cleveland, and the Carlisle volcanoes are among our most famous mountains. It seems that everywhere you look, no matter where you are, you’ll find a noteworthy natural wonder looking right back at you when you’re adventuring through Alaska.
