When many of us think of amazing restaurants, we tend to think of upscale restaurants in larger cities. To be honest, some of the most amazing restaurants can actually be found in smaller towns, and most are family owned and operated. With so many small towns located throughout Alabama, you can imagine the number of amazing restaurants there are.

In April 2011, a devastating F5 tornado destroyed the town of Hackleburg. The Bank of Hackleburg was one of the remaining buildings, and today it's used as The VAULT, Bakery Cafe. The VAULT, Bakery Cafe serves a variety of delicious foods, including their famous "Spookie" dessert. (323 Walker St)
