Alabama is full of beautiful scenic drives, which provide travelers with some of the most amazing views. If you feel like taking an afternoon drive, here are 10 scenic drives in Alabama you should definitely check out:
1. Natchez Trace Parkway
The Natchez Trace Parkway is a 444-mile drive through the states of Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee. It offers beautiful scenery and 10,000 years of North American history.
2. Lookout Mountain Parkway
The Lookout Mountain Parkway stretches across Lookout Mountain from Gadsden, Alabama to Chattanooga, Tennessee--while spanning three states. Within its 93 miles, travelers will come across waterfalls, canyons, unique towns and wonderful state parks.
3. Selma to Montgomery March Byway
The Selma to Montgomery March Byway is 54 miles long and celebrates a major historic event. This scenic byway is located in central Alabama and travels between the cities of Selma and Montgomery.
4. Alabama's Coastal Connection Scenic Byway
Alabama's Coastal Connection Scenic Byway offers beautiful beaches, authentic downtowns, wildlife preserves and historic sites. There's so much to see and do on Alabama's Gulf Coast.

The Barbour County Governors’ Trail recognizes former Alabama governors from Barbour County, and it also offers many historic, scenic and recreational opportunities. This trail begins in Clio at the intersection of SR-10 and SR-5, and it ends at Shorter Mansion in Eufaula. The length of this trail is 36 miles.

The Talladega Scenic Drive provides the access route to Cheaha State Park. Cheaha State Park is home to Mt. Cheaha, Alabama's highest point.

The Black Warrior River Scenic Byway is located in Tuscaloosa and Northport. This route includes three bridges that offer breathtaking views of the river and its riverbanks. The length of this byway is approximately 12 miles.
10. The Oak Alley
The Oak Alley is a great place to visit if you're ever in the Mobile area. It's located at Spring Hill College on Shell Road, and it's GORGEOUS!!!
