9 Scenic Alabama Trails To Add To Your Hiking To-Do List For 2021
It’s no secret Alabama is one of America’s top hiking destinations. If you’re a hiking enthusiast, you’ve probably explored many of the Yellowhammer State’s trails. However, there are probably several you haven’t even set foot on. Listed below are nine scenic trails you’ll definitely want to add to your hiking to-do list for 2021.

The Chinnabee Silent Trail is located within Alabama's Cheaha Wilderness (near Lineville) and is 7.3 miles out and back. This scenic trail has a moderate rating and features a lake. The best time to hike the Chinnabee Silent Trail is from March to November. Click here for trail map.

The Stone Cuts Trail, which has a moderate rating, is located at Monte Sano State Park near Brownsboro, Alabama. It's a 2.4-mile loop trail that features massive rock formations and beautiful wildflowers. It's also accessible year-round. Click here for trail map.

The Walls of Jericho Trail is a 6.4-mile out and back trail that's located near Estillfork, Alabama. It features a waterfall and is rated as difficult. It's also best used from March to November. Click here for trail map.

Sougahoagdee Falls, which is located within North Alabama's William B. Bankhead National Forest, is a 4-mile out and back trail that's located near Houston. Its main feature is a beautiful waterfall, and because it has an easy rating, this trail is perfect for all skill levels. Click here for trail map.

The Alum Hollow Trail is located at Green Mountain Nature Preserve near Huntsville, Alabama. It's a 2.2-mile out and back trail with an easy rating and features a waterfall. Click here for trail map.

Kinlock Falls, which is located within North Alabama's William B. Bankhead National Forest, is a 0.3-mile loop trail with a waterfall and an easy rating. It's also accessible year-round. Click here for trail map.

Lost Sink Trail is a 3.9-mile out and back trail that's located at Keel Mountain Preserve near Paint Rock, Alabama. It features a waterfall and has a moderate rating. This trail is also best used from April to October. Click here for trail map.

Pulpit Rock Trail, which is located at Cheaha State Park near Heflin, is a 0.6-mile out and back trail that offers one of Alabama's most beautiful views. Because of its easy rating, it's perfect for all skill levels. Pulpit Rock Trail is also accessible year-round. Click here for trail map.

The Parker Falls Trail is located within the Sipsey Wilderness area of North Alabama's William B. Bankhead National Forest. It's a 1.7-mile out and back trail that features a waterfall and has a moderate rating. Like most other trails on this list, this scenic trail is accessible year-round. Click here for trail map.
