One of the most unique road trip destinations in Alabama is the Unclaimed Baggage Center. The Unclaimed Baggage Center, located in Scottsboro, is the only store in America that buys and sells unclaimed baggage from airlines. It's also one of Alabama's top shopping destinations.
8. Old Courthouse Museum
If you're a fan of Harper Lee's novel "To Kill a Mockingbird," you'll really enjoy this road trip destination. The courtroom in the novel was based upon the Old Monroe County Courthouse (located in Monroeville), and the courthouse scene in the film was modeled after this same courthouse.
9. McWane Science Center
The McWane Science Center, located in Birmingham, is a great road trip destination for all ages. It features a state-of-the-art science center, aquarium, 280-seat IMAX Dome Theater, and more than 9,000 sq ft of interactive exhibits.
