Here Are 13 Reasons Why People Are Picking Up And Moving To Alabama

Alabama is the perfect place to call home. Because of its great history, beautiful scenery and friendly people, it’s easy to understand why it’s such a great place to live. Every year, more and more people are choosing to move to Alabama, and here are 13 reasons why.

1.) Compared to many other states, Alabama has a low cost of living.

2.) People will wave to you, shake your hand, and ask how you're doing - even if they don't already know you. Southern hospitality at its finest!

3.) As stated in Kiplinger's 2014 "10 Most Tax-Friendly States" list, Alabama residents pay very low taxes. As a matter of fact, Alabama has the fifth lowest taxes in the U.S., and this statistic includes a combination of property taxes, gas taxes and state income taxes.

4.) We have a very laid-back way of life here in Alabama.

5.) Because Alabama is located within the Bible Belt, there are many different options for religious-minded people.

6.) Alabama offers the perfect balance of country living...

...and city living.

7.) Alabama's delicious homemade Southern food will definitely keep its residents from going hungry.

12.) In Alabama, football fans won't have any problem fitting in. Even though we don't have a professional football team here in Alabama, we're huge supporters of our high school football teams...
