One of the most beautiful places in Alabama during wintertime is Little River Canyon National Preserve. Little River Canyon National Preserve is home to Little River Falls, a gorgeous waterfall you can visit during wintertime. Alabama's Little River Canyon National Preserve is located atop of Lookout Mountain in Fort Payne. It's one of the state's most beautiful outdoor destinations throughout the year, especially during wintertime.
Covering more than 15,000 acres, this Alabama preserve's main attraction is Little River Canyon, which is extra beautiful whenever it's covered in snow. The "Grand Canyon of the East" is around 12 miles long and is a definite must-visit during this time of year.
Another feature of Alabama's Little River Canyon National Preserve is Little River Falls. Little River Falls isn't just one of the state's most beautiful natural attractions. It's also one of the easiest waterfalls to access. Numerous people from near and far visit this waterfall throughout the year, especially during the winter months.
Little River Falls, which has a height of approximately 45 feet, flows into Lookout Mountain's Little River. It can be viewed from multiple locations, including the bottom, the top, or from the Little River Falls Overlook.
