Alabama is home to some of the most haunted hotels you’ll ever stay in. Shadowy figures, laughter coming from children, slamming doors and lights flickering on and off are just a few of the many strange occurrences that have been witnessed by guests in several Alabama hotels, causing them to check out early. Listed below are 10 hotels in Alabama that are believed to be haunted.
1. Fort Conde Inn - Mobile, Alabama
Guests who have stayed on the second floor of the Fort Conde Inn have reported feeling an unusual presence.
2. The Tutwiler Hotel - Birmingham, Alabama
This hotel was renovated from what used to be an apartment building. Ever since the building became a hotel, guests have reported seeing lights and appliances mysteriously come on by themselves. It's believed that the ghost behind these strange occurrences is a former apartment resident.
3. The Victoria Inn - Anniston, Alabama
Supposedly, this inn's restaurant is haunted and witnesses have reported hearing footsteps throughout the entire house. These ghosts are believed to be the house's previous owners.
4. The Battle House Renaissance Hotel - Mobile, Alabama
Witnesses have reported seeing shadowy figures and hearing ghostly voices. Faucets have also been known to turn themselves on and off during the night.

It's believed this hotel is haunted by its original owner, Mr. Rawls because many guests have reported seeing a shadowy figure that resembled him. Several guests have also reported hearing children's laughter.
