Here in Alabama, we’re fortunate to have such a variety of things to do. However, many people, especially visitors, have a pretty difficult time trying some of the things our state offers. From hiking tall mountains to eating peculiar foods, listed below are just a few of the many things people are scared to do when they visit Alabama.

Hell's Gate Bridge, located in Oxford, Alabama, received its name because (supposedly) if you stop on the bridge and turn around, you'll see what looks like the fiery gates of Hell. This haunted bridge can't be driven across, but it still receives many visitors by foot. Then of course, there are many people afraid to go near it. Note: Because of its current condition, walking across it isn't recommended.
