If you ever need to pick a Minnesotan out of a crowd, here a few slight tells that they hail from the land of 10,000 lakes.

1. They awkwardly smile and agree to avoid conflict.

2. They have the funniest accents around.

3. They aren't afraid of a little cold, snow, or ice. In fact, they probably embrace it.

4. Which means they will probably look more like this guy, when everyone else looks like...

These guys.

5. They're wearing an article of clothing that references their hometown, school, or team... all from Minnesota.

6. In the winter they look like they haven't seen the sun in years.

Or in the summer they are burned up or tanned from all that lake time.

7. The men are sporting a flannel or a beard (or both).

8. Everyone from other states says "there's someone from Canada!".
