There is no doubt that this one-of-a-kind museum in Arkansas will entice the aviator in you.
Established in 1986, the Arkansas Air and Military Museum has been a staple in the Fayetteville community.
Located at Drake Field Airport inside the historic 1940s White Hangar, this museum has a fascinating display of wartime aircraft as well as classic airplanes.
You’ll be in awe of the size of the hanger as well as the number of aircraft that are on display.
Not only does this museum serve as a treasure trove for old planes and military crafts, but it is also a place for many yearly events including Summer camps, air shows, balloon festivals as well as car shows.
If you’re a history buff, chances are you’ll love everything about this museum. And not to mention the kids will also love it too. It’s perhaps one of the best family-friendly attractions in Arkansas.
And if you think that’s big, check out this C-130 Hercules that was used by the military during the Vietnam War. The H-model is permanently housed at the museum.
