Once upon a time, it seemed like everyone’s weekend kicked off at the same place: Blockbuster Video. Founded in 1985, Blockbuster was THE place to rent videos (and, later, DVDs) and, at its peak, boasted nearly 10,000 locations worldwide. Sadly, with the popularity of streaming (and before that, movies mailed to you) came the demise of this entertainment giant, with only one standalone store remaining. Since most of us haven’t seen a Colorado Blockbuster in more than ten years, you can imagine our surprise when these blue VHS dispensers began popping up around the Centennial State:
