We’ve got some downright unique destinations in Rhode Island. This one spot, however, just might top them all. You can stand in three states at once. If you haven’t made your way to the Tri-State Marker yet, add it to your bucket list. It’s just one of those things that’s fun to say you’ve done.

Several hiking trails, one from each state, will take you to the Tri-State Marker. The Buck Hill to Tri-State Marker to North Trail Segment 1 is Rhode Island's path to the marker.

The nearly nine-mile trail leads beyond the marker; however, you can always turn around once you've stood in the three states.

Be prepared for a moderate challenge along the way. The path can be steep, rocky, and muddy. Chances are you won't run into many, if any, other hikers along the way.
