Anyone who’s been to the Empire State knows we can get a little wacky. There are plenty of weird places in New York that are off the wall enough to delight even the most ardent of cynics. One that we particularly love is the Thompson Park Interdimensional Vortex in Watertown: it’s just as weird as it sounds. The town has even erected a sign to notify visitors about strange happenings. The stories from this park are wacky as can be and definitely rival anything you’ve ever heard about Area 51. In fact, the park’s supposed vortex is often nicknamed “Area 51 of New York.”
