Just north of Boston lies the largest Asian restaurant in the country and possibly the largest restaurant in Massachusetts. Kowloon Restaurant is an iconic eatery with a huge menu, impeccable service, ornate decor, and an incredibly fun ambiance that draws people here in droves.
Since 1950, Kowloon Restaurant has been a landmark eatery in the greater Boston area. Serving a wide variety of Asian dishes, people travel from all over for the delicious cuisine in an atmosphere you can't find anywhere else.
What started out small with only 40-50 seats eventually grew into a massive dining complex that can accommodate 1,200 people across its five dining rooms. It also offers entertainment and comedy on certain nights, making it quite the destination for a fun night out.
You'll be amazed at the themed dining rooms throughout the restaurant. There's the Tiki Lagoon Room, Volcano Bay Room, Thai Grille, Hong Kong Lounge, and Mandarin Room. Additionally, the Luau Room accommodates both private events and the restaurant's comedy club.
Whether it's Thai, Chinese, or Japanese cuisine you're in the mood for, you'll find plenty of options on the menu. The portions here are large, the service is quick, and the prices are fair.
One item on the menu you must get is the Peninsula Pu Pu Platter. With spare ribs, chicken wings, chicken fingers, butterfly shrimp, eggs rolls, and wontons, it's the perfect appetizer to share with your table.
