Is it just me, or has Colorado been experiencing the coldest and snowiest winter in recent memory? Sure, Coloradans are used to snow in late winter/early spring, but snowstorms almost weekly? This is new! Since the weather has been so sporadic, it must be coming to an end, right? Wrong! In fact, we may soon be seeing more snow at once than we have seen in YEARS, as meteorologists are predicting an upward of 5-feet of snow in certain areas:

"Denver weather: Near-record warmth ahead of possible significant snow this week," teases a March 8, 2021 article from the Denver Post, which shares that the Front Range will enjoy temperatures in the 60s and 70s Monday and Tuesday, followed by a slight dip on Wednesday and - finally - heavy snow beginning Thursday.

According to the Denver Post, the Denver area can expect a high of 54 degrees on Wednesday, but it is during the night when temperatures will dip below freezing, and the snow may begin to fall, dumping feet of powder along the Front Range and its neighboring mountains.

While an upward of 5-feet of snow is not unusual in the Colorado high country, it is rarer along the Front Range, which is the area that the National Weather Service predicts will see the most snow.

"That storm will be a mix of rain and snow all day Thursday, with a high in the 40s," wrote the Post, adding that "Snow will likely persist into Friday as the NWS predicts, 'a large storm system mainly over and east of the Front Range.'"

Sadly, the end of the workweek will not be the end of the storm for Denver, Colorado Springs, and the rest of the Front Range, as the Denver Post and the National Weather Service also note that the storm could last through the weekend.
