Loving Mississippi is easy – how could anyone not love a state with all those crooked letters and humpbacks right in the name? Aside from the awesome name, Mississippi is home to a rich heritage, beautiful land, and a captivating past that continues to shape its identity to this day.
The Mississippi Delta is the home of the Blues, the root of all modern music. Following the Blues was the birth of Jazz, the only other original American art form.
Being a major player in the Civil War, it should come as no surprise that Mississippi is home to one of the oldest and largest U.S. national cemeteries.

Between having been the home of numerous slaves to countless battles being fought on the state’s grounds, Mississippi has a rich spiritual history. And while ghosts have been spotted in several cities spanning across the great state, the two cities with the most sightings are Natchez and Vicksburg.
